Veterans and Military Families
U.S. military and veterans receive free admission to the Museum, thanks to the generous support of Bank of America.
 

Valid ID is required. Tickets may be reserved online but must be held at the Box Office and picked up at Will Call.

Veterans also receive a 20% discount on Individual, Dual and Family Memberships. Intrepid After Hours

Intrepid After Hours
Intrepid After Hours invites military veterans and service members to experience the Museum at night. Explore the Museum without the crowds, and then join peers for conversation, a creative exercise and a catered dinner.

Stories from Women Warriors
Come honor female veterans in celebration of Women's History Month! We will be highlighting women warriors from World War II to the Vietnam War. All current and former service members are welcome.


 

 

Military Family Programs (for children ages 3-18)

Military Family Programs
Created for current and former military service members and their families, these programs include a hands-on tour of the Museum, experiments, and design challenges intended to engage the whole family. Join us before the program for refreshments and casual conversation.

Discover the history of innovation and codes onboard the former aircraft carrier Intrepid! After exploring historic spaces, families can experiment with different science activities.


 

Vet Video Chats

Vet Video Chats
For veterans who are unable to visit the Museum, video chats build social connections and provide stimulating conversations. This online program highlights objects and spaces within the Museum and invites individuals to ask questions, make comments and share stories. It will especially enrich the lives of individuals who require intensive healthcare services at home or in a hospital setting.

Veterans Plus

Veterans Plus programs are special daytime or evening events that are relevant to the military community allow veterans to bring guests, such as civilian friends and family members, to share in the experience.

ReelAbilities Film Festival Screening of Fort Irwin with Discussion
ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York is returning to Intrepid Museum! This year we will be screening the short film Fort Irwin, directed by Quinn Else and featuring Army veteran Cristian Valle. Following the screening, there will be a robust panel discussion on representation and employment of veterans in the media and entertainment. The panel will consist of a diverse group of experts within the veteran community and the media and entertainment industry. Free to attend for all current and former service members and their guests with advanced registration.

Intrepid Book Club
Join fellow veterans, service members and military family members at the Intrepid Museum for a lively book discussion over light refreshments! The Intrepid Book Club meets quarterly for a two-hour facilitated discussion with an introduction related to the Museum’s collection and crew. Books are a mix of fiction and nonfiction, all related to military or military family experiences. Light refreshments are served and there is time for socializing. Copies of the books are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis.
